Biotec Academy – Where Design Meets Precision
Interior Branding | Spatial Design | Graphic Design | Print Production | 2019-2020
Overview
The Biotec project was developed over two years, beginning with the redesign of a high-end aesthetic clinic in Herzliya and expanding into a full-scale medical academy.
The project’s goal was to transform a standard clinical floor into a branded environment that blends aesthetics, science, and precision.
From custom glass graphics and typography systems to spatial planning, lighting, and printed materials, every detail was crafted to communicate Biotec’s values of clarity, precision, and excellence.
The result is a space that not only looks refined — it feels intelligent, balanced, and alive.

My Role & Responsibilities
As the lead designer, I was responsible for translating Biotec’s clinical precision into a cohesive spatial and visual identity.
My role included:
Interior design and spatial branding for the clinic and academy
Graphic system design for glass partitions, doors, and signage
3D visualization and client presentations
Brand alignment across Biotec Academy and Clinic
On-site supervision and production coordination
Project Background
When Biotec’s founders approached me in 2021, the clinic was still a neutral, functional space.
They wanted something that would reflect their philosophy — precision medicine presented through an atmosphere of calm, trust, and beauty.
We began by reimagining the clinic’s interior: introducing natural light, visual hierarchy, and subtle materials that balanced cleanliness with warmth.
The result was a modern, confident environment that immediately elevated the client experience.
The Design Process — Part I
The Clinic Phase | 2021
When I first arrived at the site, the clinic was still an unfinished shell.
There was no atmosphere, no design direction — only the Biotec logo on the wall, a reception desk, and a few chairs scattered around the bare space.
I started by documenting everything: dozens of photos, short videos, and detailed measurements of every wall, window, and glass panel.
Serge, Biotec’s founder, joined me as we carefully noted each dimension by hand on an A3 sheet — a doctor’s handwriting sketching the foundation of a future aesthetic clinic.
Back at my desk, I had to rebuild the entire space in my mind — aligning angles, materials, and lighting to form one cohesive canvas that could finally host the design vision.
That’s where the creative process truly began.

The first video and images I took were from inside the clinic, on my first visit. The feeling was overwhelming.
I remember, while taking the first photos and videos for this project, that I was "shaking in my boots" a bit, thinking, at the time, less than 3 years in the design business, and without any training regarding interior design, that I was way over my head here.
Still, I don't think it showed, as I was keeping it cool the whole time.
The idea for the clinic’s visual rhythm came instantly — inspired by Biotec’s logo, the front desk lines, and the architectural waves behind it.
Every wall, glass surface, and material was mapped to balance privacy, light, and brand presence.
Through continuous refinements — from 3D visualizations to production files — each element was executed with precision, transforming a functional medical floor into an elegant, branded environment.

Project Background – Part II
A year later, the vision expanded into Biotec Academy — a new educational floor designed to mirror the same DNA of clarity and sophistication.
The challenge was to connect both spaces, transforming them into a unified ecosystem where science, design, and innovation coexist seamlessly.
Through cohesive color palettes, typography, and glass graphics, the academy became a natural continuation of the clinic — a space that inspires learning, precision, and creativity.

Design Process — Part II
The Academy Phase | 2022
In 2022, the process evolved.
Instead of jumping straight into visual experimentation, I started by sketching on my tablet — mapping proportions, spacing, and flow before moving to the computer.
This shift enabled far greater precision, resulting in cleaner layouts, consistent alignment across all rooms, and a faster transition from idea to production.
Key improvements:
Tablet-based planning and proportion sketching.
More accurate wall and glass measurements.
Enhanced lighting simulations and material previews.
A smoother, more efficient workflow overall.
UX & Design Insights
Where Function Meets Atmosphere
The Biotec environment was designed to feel calm, intelligent, and consistent — balancing minimalism with practicality.
Every spatial element serves both form and function: the glass partitions and printed graphics ensure privacy in examination rooms while maintaining a clean, open aesthetic.
The visual system extends seamlessly across the clinic and academy, creating a unified identity that feels both medical and human.

Beyond the physical space, Biotec’s visual language — its lines, rhythm, and iconography — was built to scale into digital platforms, allowing the same clarity and precision to live online as well.
In retrospect, this project remains one of my most successful examples of translating design thinking into a complete, adaptable system.

Results / Impact
The redesigned Biotec spaces achieved more than a visual transformation — they redefined how the clinic communicates trust and precision.
A consistent spatial rhythm now connects the clinic and academy, improving navigation and flow for staff and visitors alike.
The new branding elevated Biotec’s professional image, attracting higher-end clientele and partnerships with medical professionals.
The adaptable design language laid the foundation for future digital branding and communication materials.
The architectural visualization clarified design intent, allowing the client to fully understand how the clinic and academy would look and feel before construction began, which led to faster approval and smoother execution.
Biotec became a tangible example of how thoughtful design can bridge science, aesthetics, and user experience in a single cohesive system.

What Biotec says:
“Working with Royi was more than a design project — it was a transformation.
He understood the rhythm and soul of our clinic, turning a cold, functional space into one that feels alive, harmonious, and inspiring.
Even years later, we still feel that same coherence and positive energy in every detail.”
